About Me
Hi there! I’m Grady. Born and raised in tiny Singapore, with the world as my sandbox. I love art, dogs, ice-cold water, and the Oxford comma. I’m an open book, but I’m more of a paperback than an ebook, so feel free to approach me on campus for some good old small talk!

Why I Chose Yale-NUS
I’m one of those people who can’t really choose between the arts and sciences, mainly because I don’t see the line between them. Yale-NUS gave me the opportunity to study both, and to take that line and bend/erase/smudge/tightrope it. There’s so much room to be creative here, and for that I’m thankful.

What I Love Most About Yale-NUS
I love how the community here is not afraid to speak up, and not afraid to listen. There are so many problems in the world that could be better solved if people would just communicate sincerely and readily. From a petty suitemate argument to school-wide decisions, being able to speak and have your voice heard is something that I am truly grateful for, and what I love most about this community.

Best Moment I’ve Had at Yale-NUS
There was a day during the semester when we were encouraged to perform gender differently for a class assignment, and I took all the make-up skills I learnt off YouTube and painted myself to perfection (don’t believe me? Check the photo). It felt so liberating to have been given the chance and the space to do the things I’ve always wanted, and opportunities like that seem to flow freely here.

Random Fact about Yale-NUS
We get pretty creative with our dining hall hacks here. I once mashed a couple bananas into a glass and stirred milk in for a pretty good banana milkshake. If you ever hear it from someone, I’d like to take credit for it. (:
