If you are a merit scholarship recipient, merit scholarship funds will not be disbursed during the semester(s) you are on leave of absence. You may still use up to 8 semesters of funding, provided you have shown satisfactory academic progress.
If you are currently receiving financial aid, your study award will be cancelled during the semester(s) you are on leave of absence.
The decision to take leave of absence will not affect your eligibility to apply for financial aid in future application cycles. However, you must adhere to the financial aid application deadline when submitting your application. The application cycle runs from 1 March to 1 May and this is the only opportunity to apply for financial aid for the academic year starting in July. Missing the 1 May deadline may mean a student will not receive financial aid for the upcoming academic year.
